Check Point

Check Point Files Patent for Unique Profiling and Autonomous Security for IoT Devices Check Point is pleased to announce that the IoT Security team has successfully filed a patent for its technology that uniquely partitions networked IoT devices into groups/zones while creating autonomous policies for profiled IoT devices.

This achievement represents a milestone in our growth and demonstrates our commitment to evolving the industry to achieve the common goal of innovation and delivering exceptional value to our customers. Modern networks often host dozens of devices that communicate both inside and outside the network, increasing the number of devices available on the network; therefore, there are more targets for malware attacks. Infected devices are able to interact with various devices both inside and outside the network, creating a chain reaction of malware infection that can lead to a widespread and devastating cyberattack. This highlights the importance of introducing innovative security technologies that are evolving faster than the speed of cyber threats and cyber attacks.

The technology mentioned above refers specifically to Check Point's recently announced Quantum IoT Protect product. It exists as a subscription service in Check Point Quantum "Titan" R81.20. With the technology outlined in this patent, organizations can discover and protect their IoT assets in just a few minutes. Check Point is the only vendor that provides offline protection against IoT-related network attacks. The solution automatically creates and autonomously enforces zero-trust network access profiles for IoT assets, protecting them from known and unknown cyber threats.
